Overview

You will be whisked away from the airport to a local pasada (hotel) where a warm reception will await you while you get sized up for your motorcycle and gear. Instruction by our expert guide to go over local law and customs. He will also answer any questions you might have about the unique Brazilian experience you are about to begin. After an excellent evening meal followed by an early night to bed we will have a local ride to get ready for the rest of the experience returning to the pasada for another comfortable evening.

We will visit the Jamaraquá people to experience the beautiful primary rain forest in a jungle walk. We will stay with the Jamaraquá people and on the next day visit Maguari to see an authentic local traditional family rubber harvesting and production operation. We will tour Belterra (Beautiful Earth) and will spend the night in the second city that Henry Ford founded in the amazon.

We will return to our original pasada to freshen up to prepare to embark on the next leg of our trip. We will ride to Fordlandia to step back in time and see an American company town in the Amazon. You will have the chance to ride on part of the 4000KM trans-amazonian highway. We will stay out on the road touring for a couple days and then get a traditional boat ride to Santarem from Fordlandia. Returning to our original pasada for another evening to freshen up and prepare for our final push.

We prepare to cross the amazon river! We motorbike to Santarem and then catch a ferry to Alenquer threading through the mangroves and flooded forests or sandy beaches (depending on the season). Then we will work our way to Monte Alegre. Here we will see ancient ancestral cave paintings dating back 12,000 years. We will ride to Cachoeira das Pedras (paradise falls), where we will enjoy taking in the amazing falls, swim in the pools under the falls and walk under the curtains of water. Staying here for the night before beginning our return trip back to our original pasada and again for a final evening but taking a boat to our celebration in Alter do Chao!
